30 years since the EDSA uprising: Building Bayanihan socialism in The Philippines

30 years ago the people of The Philippines rose up and toppled the Marcos regime, but this was an 'unfinished revolution'. The struggle for fundamental social change continues in The Philippines, finding new forms of struggle and a new movement for Bayanihan (communal) socialism. This panel will explore some of the recent experiences of the left in struggling to build socialism, including experiences from the recent national elections, which will have concluded only days before the conference.
